I've been cleaning all day long. I do a major cleaning around the house, once a week (vacuuming, washing, laundry, dusting, etc).
Mum is worried that I'll have my baby out today
My belly did dropped awhile ago. It is much lower now & I do feel lots of pressure/sore pain when I walk. I'll do anything to get the labour starting
Has anyone gone in labour when doing cleaning? Or, heard of?
(I'm finally done cleaning... I know tomorrow my back will be in so much pain!)

Awesome I better start doing it frequently, lol! I even danced with my little girl to kinetic system (xbox) "dancing"
. I sweated my butt off, heheh! I can't believe how heavy my body is. The belly is very tight that I can't even tell if I'm having Braxton hick coming in. It was pretty painful & tiring but I just went on & that night I had cramping coming along.

I know that lack of activity may delay labour. I know many friends/relatives that spend their entire 9th month on a bed or a couch, eating, and those who did that had really delayed births, slightly bigger than normal babies and ultimately c sections.
I'm active (like cleaning daily, walking long distances, doing everything I used to do before pregnancy) , baby is head down since 29 week, and I hope for a healthy due date and easy labor because of all that activity.

This is excellent news- my list of things to do on maternity leave (starting next week) are all cleaning based. I'll have a sparkling house and a baby out in no time if this works!!!

I had a sudden urge to clean the entire house and did so this morning, no signs of labour yet! But it's still early. I certainly feel better for having done the cleaning, even if it hasn't had an effect!!

I walked.. used bath oils.. cleaned like mad.. walked up and down stairs.. had sweeps.. used a gym ball.. and three days of induction at 42weeks still wouldn't het her out. I was very active during my pregnancy and worked an active job. I think if your body is ready to go though it will help! My lo was just stubborn lol x

Midwife today told me that it is the hormones that bring labor and people just link a particular activity they did the day of the labor with the labor itself. Like "I was shopping nail polish and it induced my labor". Usually we want to have our home prepared for the baby, spotless and hygienic so it is cleaning that we do the last days before labor.
Activity in general will help a lot though to have a smooth and pleasant labor & birth and we should keep active until the end!
